Hands-free learning: how Gugihands works with gestures and voice

Gugihands logo, learning with gestures and voice

Gugihands lets a small child use the whole experience without touching tiny buttons. The camera sees the hands, the microphone hears a few words, and Gugi guides every step with a friendly recorded voice.

One tap, then hands-free

An adult taps “Tap to start” once, which allows the camera and microphone. From then on the child can choose, move and answer with gestures or voice.

Gugi first explains which gesture does what, with large picture cards, and asks for a thumbs up to begin.

Three ways to control, at the same time

Pointing up, down, left or right moves between buttons. A red circle also follows the finger: resting on a button for a moment selects it. A thumbs up or closing the hand opens it.

Large touch buttons stay available, so adults and children can mix touch, gestures and voice freely.

Listen first, then play

While Gugi talks, the next steps wait, so children hear each explanation completely. The microphone only listens after Gugi finishes speaking, which keeps the sound clear.

Language, Menu, Games and Gestures buttons remain active for adults at any time.

Designed for small screens

Everything fits on one screen without scrolling, on phones and tablets. Pictures are large and words never cover the artwork.

Place the device at eye level in good light for the best detection.

Try it today

Open gugiboard, choose Gugihands and tap “Tap to start”. Allow the camera and microphone once, then let Gugi explain the gestures before you begin.

Every lesson and game can be reached with pointing, the red finger pointer, a thumbs up or simple voice commands, and bringing both hands together always returns Home.
