Drive the Car: First-person driving game for children in gugiboard

The Drive the Car Baby Game in gugiboard

Drive the Car puts the child behind the steering wheel. gugiboard is a smart multi-touch busy board for touchscreens that educates and entertains the little ones in a fun way, and this game adds a simple first-person road to practice looking ahead.

What happens in Drive the Car

Choose Easy, Medium or Hard. The road moves toward you and people walking, animals and bicycles appear in the three lanes. Tap the left or right side, or the arrow buttons, to change lanes. A bump restarts the level with no penalty, and reaching the flag finishes with a celebration.

Talk about real road safety

Use the game to talk about watching for people and animals near streets. Children should always cross with an adult; the game is pretend play, not driving instruction.

A small shared play session

Start on Easy and say what you see: a tree, a dog, a child. Point to the free lane before tapping. Home is always one tap away.

English and Spanish around the same road

Drive the Car / Maneja el coche keeps the same levels and buttons in English, Spanish and Hebrew, so a family can switch languages and keep playing.

Keep screen time short

Screen play should be brief, optional and shared. WHO advises no sedentary screen time at age one and at most one hour at age two; less is better.
