Drive the car with your hands: the Gugihands steering game

Gugihands logo, learning with gestures and voice

In Drive the car, a child’s two hands become a steering wheel. The road appears from the driver’s seat with a visible wheel, moving lines and obstacles that grow as they approach.

Steer with both hands

Holding both hands up and tilting them left or right turns the car, just like holding a real wheel. The on-screen wheel turns with the child’s hands.

Obstacles appear far away and get closer, giving time to react.

Four levels

The game starts easy and slow, then adds speed and more obstacles, up to a fourth, harder level for confident drivers.

Looping driving music plays during the game and a soft crash sound marks a bump, without anything scary.

What children practise

Using both hands together builds bilateral coordination, while watching the road practises attention and anticipation.

Talking about left and right during play reinforces direction words.

Leaving the game

Bringing both hands together, or saying “Gugihands home”, returns to the menu. The music stops as soon as the game ends.

Short drives of a few minutes are enough for young players.

Try it today

Open gugiboard, choose Gugihands and tap “Tap to start”. Allow the camera and microphone once, then let Gugi explain the gestures before you begin.

Every lesson and game can be reached with pointing, the red finger pointer, a thumbs up or simple voice commands, and bringing both hands together always returns Home.
