The colorful plus: new discoveries inside a familiar gugiboard activity

An actual gugiboard learning sheet illustrating the familiar grid used for additional board content

A second sheet can offer something new without making the whole experience unfamiliar. gugiboard’s colorful + connects a board or game with its extra content. In supported learning boards, the same visual format continues with another set of related targets. For a family, the convenience is staying in one place while having more choices available, rather than opening another website for every small change.

A familiar layout with different content

The extra sheets use their parent board’s format. An animal grid continues with other animals; a vehicle grid continues with other vehicles. Keeping the presentation recognizable means the adult can focus on what changed in the content. It does not prove that a child will understand the new objects immediately, but it reduces unnecessary changes in how the activity is presented.

Open the plus or follow completion

An adult can choose the colorful + to explore an extra sheet directly. Supported completion-based progression can also move from the finished sheet into that extra content. These routes offer different ways to reach the same activity family. There is no obligation to complete the first sheet before making a manual choice, or to finish every extra sheet during one visit.

Each sheet has its own round

When the activity moves to another learning sheet, its round tracks the new visible targets rather than carrying over completed marks from the previous arrangement. This keeps the activity sequence meaningful: actions belong to the sheet currently being played. Historical tap counts in Little favorites are separate and remain accumulated instead of being reset with each new round.

Little favorites covers the wider category

A category’s report can include items across its registered sheets. Hidden targets are filtered from the relevant sheets, so a saved visibility choice is not limited to one enlarged picture. Review the category totals when arranging choices. The report is a summary of registered board interactions, not a separate record of every second sheet that a child has looked at.

Choose a small amount of novelty

One extra animal or vehicle can be enough for a conversation. Name it, look for a related picture in a book, and stop if interest fades. Having several sheets available is a convenience, not a checklist for a single session. The best use is the one that remains brief, shared and balanced with ordinary movement and hands-on play.
